FIRST PLACE UNLT FWD!

WORLD Racing brought the “Bi-Winged-Banshee” to the Autobahn Country Club in Joliet, Illinois. With Chris Rado at the helm, the team once again stole the Front Wheel Drive track record to continue their winning streak. Scattered thunderstorms mixed with Midwest humidity throughout the weekend made controlling the 700 horsepower Scion tC a challenge. Moisture accumulated on portions of the corners, but the Hankook tires gripped the track perfectly, while still providing the speed Chris needed to make that front wing work. “If we had to paint the car pink to make it fast, it would be pink”, said Tyler Cooley, Crew Chief of WORLD Racing, about the front wing. “It is not all about aesthetics.” This was WORLD’s first appearance at the Autobahn Country Club. Chris used his time and practice sessions wisely by feeling out the track, and learning all its nuances before unleashing the Scion tC off its reins. And on the second lap of the final session, WORLD recorded a 1:30.717 to capture the Unlimited FWD gold and a new Front Wheeled track record in the process. Chris Rado and the WORLD Racing team would like to thank all those who came this weekend and extend an invitation for the next event at the Nashville Super Speedway on July 25th and 26th in Nashville, Tennessee.

Defying the odds with Chris Rado. This weekend was one of those weekends "make it or brake it" weekends, but Chris would not have it any other way. The sleepless nights paid off. Taking first place FWD class, beating his last years record by nearly 5 seconds and taking 5th overall. Oh, the front wing haha, some people said its was crazy, some people didn't think we were serious but the numbers speak for themselves with exact numbers being 1:22.623 and this being a weekend of testing more than competing, we did pretty well. Thanks to all the sponsors and all the people that helped with the car especially this weekend, thanks to the Scikotics for coming out to the event and we will see you at Buttonwillow.

The weekend at Willow. With many months behind us and the car near completion the team was rushing to get the car to Willow for its first run of the year. The team worked many sleepless nights to get the car on the truck and be at Willow on the morning of the 21st. This being the first time the car has seen the track, we faced some electrical issues that prevented us from braking some records, the team is confident that they will resolve the issues and be back at Willow on the 30-31 of May. WORLD-Racing debuted Chris Rado’s 2009 Unlimited FWD Time Attack Scion tC this weekend at the Scion Exposed 6.0 in Sarasota Florida. The weekend was a success, we're glad that we got to spend the weekend among friends and die hard fans of the Scion lifestyle we want to thank all the Scion enthusiasts that attended the event and visited our booth.
